Focus Scripture — 1 Corinthians 12:12 (NKJV)
For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
Introduction
In conjunction with our 21 days of prayer and fasting, the focus for today is the church body.
The title of this brief thought is Shifting Together as One in Christ.
The Scripture is taken from 1 Corinthians 12:12 in the New King James Version.
One Body, Many Members
The Word of God tells us that the body is one, but it has many members. Even though there are many members, they all make up one body. So it is with Christ.
In this season of shifting, God is not only working in us individually, but He is also working in us collectively as the body of Christ.
We have just come through 21 days of prayer and fasting, and that is not just about personal breakthrough. It is also about what God is doing in us as a church family—learning to move together, to pray together, to believe together, and to shift together.
Every part of the body matters. No member is unnecessary, and no member stands alone. We are connected, and when one part of the body is affected, the whole body feels it.
God is calling us to unity—not uniformity, but unity. Different gifts, different callings, different functions, but one body and one purpose in Christ.
Shifting Together in Purpose
When God shifts a church, He does it by aligning the hearts of the people. A body that is divided cannot move forward the way God intends.
As we shift, we must remember that we are not shifting alone. We are shifting together—as one in Christ.
That means we pray for one another, we support one another, we encourage one another, and we stay connected to one another.
The enemy would love to isolate us, but God’s design is for us to function as a body—joined together, growing together, and moving forward together.
This season is not just about what God is doing in me. It is about what God is doing in us.
Final Exhortation
As we continue to move forward from these 21 days of prayer and fasting, let us remember that we are one body in Christ.
Let us commit to shifting together, serving together, and loving one another as God has called us to do.
We are many members, but we are one body—and together, we can move into everything God has prepared for us.
Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word. We thank You that You have made us one body in Christ.
Help us, Lord, to walk in unity, to love one another, and to move together in this season of shifting.
Thank You for what You are doing in us individually and what You are doing in us as a church family. We trust You, and we yield to You.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
