He is the everlasting spring of living water. John 4:14 (NKJV) – “but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.
Sometimes we look down on people, whether they’re half dressed, or whether they’re, half drunk, or snatching somebody’s wife, going with somebody’s husband, and some of us forget.
A collector might spend thousands of dollars on a rare coin. Somebody collecting stamps may spend a lot of money on it. hey might spend a fortune on a piece of jewelry.
In the midst of all that we see going on in the world today, God definitely has the final say. We have it in the book. We have the end, and we know that God’s will prevails.
That didn’t bother Paul, because he mentioned again, “To live is Christ, and to die is gain.” That reminds me of what Pastor Beverly always reminds us: either way, we win.
There are benefits both in this life and in the life to come when we engage in kingdom work. You see that in Luke chapter 18, verses 28 to 30.
The tribesman and his family refused to denounce the great treasure they found in Jesus Christ. They greatly valued the kingdom, and it cost them everything, even their lives.
And conclusively, scripture reminds us that the cost is temporary. And that’s the beautiful thing. The price we pay today cannot ever compare to the reward that we will have eternally.
Sometimes we as believers may not even comprehend the worth. Sometimes we don’t see the worth and the value of certain things, whether it’s a person, whether it’s something.
