When you pray and ask God for wisdom like Solomon did, ask Him for strength, ask Him for direction. And when you do, what He gives you in response …
We have to stop rehearsing old memories that keep us from having a fresh start.
Those memories cannot hurt you without your permission.
Endurance does not earn salvation — it reveals a heart that truly loves God. The crown of life James speaks about is eternal life itself, promised by God’s grace to the steadfast.
Saying yes to the Lord will cost you something. You may say yes with your mouth, but your actions do not always show it. Saying yes is not easy, but Jesus said yes to the will of the Father.
… our first response should be to carry what has been poured in, to guard it, use it, and then give it — to share it wit others to bless and encourage them.
Pastor talked about this deposit, and one of the questions he asked was,
Are we able to guard the deposit?
And that really challenged me.
We are called to guard our hearts with diligence, because out of them flow the issues of life. We must never let our guard down or assume we can handle things on our own.
Even when the vessel feels weak, cracked, or fragile, God still calls for worship. When we pour out worship to Him, He turns and brings healing, breakthrough and deliverance.
