Recap: Jesus Poured Out
Pastor spoke about how Jesus poured out and how He emptied Himself and became flesh. Yesterday, he asked how we live in response to God pouring out and to us being poured into.
What do we do with what we have received? And what do we do with the treasures that have been deposited in jars of clay—our bodies?
Every Good and Perfect Gift
Pastor reminded us that every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father. Even when people bless us, it goes beyond them. It comes from God.
He emphasized that we must recognize where our blessings truly come from and not lose sight of the Source.
New Wine Requires Capacity
Pastor explained that God wants to pour into us, but many times our hands are already full. Sometimes we need to let go of something so God can give us something better.
He cautioned us to be careful what we pray for, because what we ask for may become a heavy load if we are not prepared to carry it.
Grace Is Sufficient
There are times when God allows us to carry heavy loads. Some on the line are caregivers, carrying responsibilities they never expected.
Even in weakness, God’s grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Guard the Deposit
Pastor reminded us to guard what God has deposited in us. We must fan the flame and not allow the fire to go out.
We are called to guard our hearts with diligence, because out of them flow the issues of life. We must never let our guard down or assume we can handle things on our own.
Use What God Has Given
God has given us salvation, His presence, and the Holy Spirit. The question is whether we are using what He has given us.
We are not meant to walk alone. Isolation makes us vulnerable. We must put on the whole armor of God daily and stay connected.
Give What You Have Received
Pastor reminded us that what God has given us is not meant to be hoarded. Sometimes people don’t need a handout—they need a hand up.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are called to pour out so that God can continue to pour in.
Final Reflection
Pastor encouraged us to take quiet time to reflect on how God is moving in our lives. As we close out 2025 and prepare for 2026, we must ask God how He wants us to respond to what He is pouring into us.
Fan the flame. Guard the deposit. Use what God has given. Give so others can be blessed, and God can be glorified.
