Walking in Bold Power

Walking in Bold Power

Speaker: Pastor Bev Caesar  |  Series: Thy Will Be Done

Scripture Focus

“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:10 (KJV)

We’re thanking the Lord that His will is accomplished in our lives at this particular juncture — on earth as it is in heaven.

Introduction: Walking in Holy Spirit Power

Walking in bold power — power to fulfill His will. That’s what we’re going to be doing: walking in bold power. And of course, it ties in with our October initiative Pastor gave — “Thy will be done.”

God has not given us a spirit of fear; He’s given us power, love, and a sound mind. That’s what we need to move forward in this life. Bless Your people as I share, in Jesus’ name — Father, we give thanks. [inaudible]

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

Think about this, person of God: when He called you to do it, He did not send you out empty-handed. He didn’t send you out to figure it out on your own. He equipped us with POWER — a supernatural power that comes from the Holy Spirit, who is in us, living in us, and giving us power. So what does “power” mean? Walk in that power.

Before I even go to the acronym, look at the word “walk.” Walk is a verb and (in usage) a noun — an ongoing action. This action needs to be ongoing after the consecration. So we’re looking at this ongoing word: walking. How do we keep walking in the will of God?

Foundation Church, I don’t want you to become stagnant. We’re not going back to where we began. This consecration set a fire in me — fire on me — to stir up the gifts and the will of God for my life. A shift happened for me, and a shift is happening here at Foundation Church. We’re not moving haphazardly; we’re moving in the power and goal God has given us in Jesus. [inaudible]

P — Pray Boldly

Pray with faith. Power that is displayed publicly is first cultivated privately. Jesus often withdrew to pray; when He came back from that quiet place with the Father, miracles happened.

“And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.” — Luke 5:16 (KJV)

When He came down from the mount of transfiguration and the disciples could not cast out the demon, He had power because He was in fellowship with His Father. Expect miracles in your home. We’ve been praying for so many who are not well — let’s look for the miracle, the power of the Holy Spirit as we pray.

If you want to walk boldly in God’s will, it starts by kneeling boldly before His throne. Prayer is where courage is born and direction becomes clear. You want power? Pray. Pray, and power follows.

O — Obey His Word

Power without obedience leads nowhere. Obedience to God’s Word gives authority. When Peter obeyed Jesus and cast the net one more time, the miracle came — even when it didn’t make sense.

“And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.” — Luke 5:6 (KJV)

Sometimes obedience won’t make sense to your mind. Do it anyway. The woman with the issue of blood pressed through the crowd — she defied logic and circumstances to touch the hem of His garment.

“For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.” — Matthew 9:21 (KJV)

Obedience is where faith gets its proof. Listen to the Lord. Walking wisely and listening to the Lord is the will of God. [inaudible]

W — Walk in Courage

We’re not called to shrink back. The Holy Spirit empowers us to stand firm — at work, at school, in every environment. Speak the truth in love even when fear whispers, “You can’t.”

“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.” — Ephesians 4:15 (KJV)

Fear comes like a nagging fly to buffet your ear-gate. But God says, “I am with you.” Listen to Him so the fear will flee. Esther struggled with fear, yet received encouragement “for such a time as this.”

“…and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14 (KJV)

Abigail stepped out in wisdom and courage to plead for her household before David. People are depending on your bold obedience — open your mouth and speak as you walk.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee… I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee.” — Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)

E — Endure Trials

Trials will come. Endure them knowing your power comes from God, not from comfort. Paul and Silas were in the inner prison — yet they praised, and power showed up.

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God… and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.” — Acts 16:25–26 (KJV)

Sing through your trial. Worship through your pain. Lift your hands even when your shoulders hurt and your back aches. Your “midnight” may come at any hour — but the breakthrough is coming as you worship.

Every trial is training ground for greater faith. Power grows with persistence. Don’t give up — the power is in you by the Holy Spirit. [inaudible]

R — Reflect His Glory

Power isn’t for showing off; it’s for showing Him. When you live boldly, people see your courage and the Christ in you. Reflect His story, not your own spotlight.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16 (KJV)

God is calling His people to rise in boldness — to walk in Holy Spirit power in the marketplace and every sphere. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is living in you. Say it: “I have power, and I will use that power for His will.”

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” — Acts 1:8 (KJV)

Reflection & Prayer

Lord, make us bold in Your will. Teach us to pray, obey, walk in courage, endure trials, and reflect Your glory — not tomorrow, but today. Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in us and through us.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word today. Bless Your people as we walk in the power of God. Stir up every gift by the Holy Spirit. We receive boldness to fulfill Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen. [inaudible]
